Check this combo out

I am building this for the street with some track time. It may seem overkill but I want something that I don't have to worry about breaking what you guys think of this combo and do you suggest anything different. Dart little M block 406, Eagle ESP 4340 crank, Eagle featherlite H-Beam 6"rods, JE ultralight pistons 11.6 cr, AFR 190cc Heads, Ported and polished superram, 58mm TB, prominator when it comes out, comp cam magnum roller rockers, TPIS sollid roller cam 242/242 .610" lift with 1.6RR LSA 112. I seen a setup like this a guy had in his vette and he ran 11.2 in quarter. The only thing i'm really debating on is to run a solid roller or hyd roller with good lifters.

On pump gas? Don't go quite so high on the compression. A big cam will only bleed off so much compression- expect no miracles. Given that you want to drive it on the street (reliability) I'd keep compression down in the 10.5-10.7 range. High compression works for a while- until carbon builds up on the valves, chambers and piston faaces from miles of street driving. THEN the detonation problems start. Stay a little conservative. You'll be happier in the long run even if you give up a tenth or two. High compression isn't the be-all, end-all of making power.

Other than that, it looks like a good combo. Massively overbuilt for what you are doing, but a good combo.

This sounds like the combo ski_dwn_it runs and he is running a 11.02 in his vette on MAF. Think with the proper tuning maybe a little bit more from him he can get in the 10's. But I want to run on 91 or 93 pump gas so probably drop the compression a lil bit. But I think it will run really hard. Ski said it runs really good on the street too. It will be a little while before i run it cause i'm gonna restore the whole car. I am also gonna test the superram, stealth ram and TPI setup on it so should have some good info for everybody.
