What the heck is this????

Found this underhood blowing air after driving the car home. Its an LG4 car that has had a 350 swapped into it. I have no clue as to what it is:

If it helps, its on the passenger side of the car up front tucked in the fender area.

No, there is a relay next to it. Its a tube and it was blowing air. I've circled it in red if that helps any.

One thing that would help us identify what it is is if you told us where it goes.

I've downloaded it, enlarged it, adjusted it, and generally PaintShopped the heck out of it, and I still can't see what you are describing. Can you get a brighter photo?

if you've still got your smog pump, then it could be a hose that just never found a home. that's the only thing that I can think of that would be blowing out air. i have no idea why it would be all the way over there though

I was just as confused as you folks were. LOL!

It a jumble of parts that came with the car, I found a flexible hose that looks like it attaches somewhere else...like it blows ON something...but I can't figure out what.

Oh well, it'll probably be pulled out anyway if I decide to proceed with my LT1 project.

Thanks anyway.

or possibly a vacuum control unit that runs vacuum to PCV, the charcoal can, and brakes. Mine is (was) on the firewall.... I ran vacuum off of the manifold for most of that stuff, so i really don't need it. if it is what I'm talking about, it says "rochester control products" around the top.

Definitely not anything to do with vacuum. It was blowing air at hairdryer speeds.

The coolant overflow tank cooler comment has me thinking...Is that anything like blinker fluid??? j/k

I'll have to look into it.
