You said the car started, so yes, you do. But that's a different engine than your car came with, right? So it might be different than your original engine's coil, although you probably used your existing coil.
But you probably have the side mounted coil. It's maybe 3x3 or 4x4 with electrical connectors attached to it, and it's a few inches to the left of the distributor if you're facing the engine. One short plug wire(maybe 10" long) connects from the top of it to the top center terminal on the distributor cap.
If you don't have that, then your coil is on top of the distributor cap. It's a box that fills in the center of the cap between the plug wires.
That's a pretty simple explanation, so I think you should be able to find it. I'd imagine others would explain it more technically though, lol.

By the way, how's the engine running. If you fired it with the stock coil, those .045 gapped plugs might've been a bit too large. So if your engine wasn't quite perfect, it might be the gap. When you get your stronger ignition hooked up, you should be fine with that gap.

So what they are refering to as the ignition module is the coil then? I have a MSD blaster coil on it and i sure know where that is.

Ok, cool. Then you're good to go. And that gap should've been no problem for a blaster coil.
