Hello Kidrcth,

Didn't mean to throw you for a loop there. Here, maybe this will help remedy the situation. Obviously, since I don't think you have VATS on your car, there will be certain parts of this that don't apply. But I think you can get the idea of it.

First, turn your key counterclockwise (the opposite direction youd turn it to start the car) and make sure it does indeed not go to the accesory position.

d00d tried that already it goes nowhere in the counter clockwise direction at all. I have to put it in ummm... run position for it to play the radio without the car on, drians the battery too much and things start working that dont need to.

my battery has already died a couple times cause of my stupid self, leaving my old 10s plugged into the big lighter for the neon light, leaving my hatch light on all night. it just isn't a good battery but it fine for me.

but yeah, looks to complicated so i'll buy that stuff tomorow and he'll(my mechanic) install it tomorow.

Just in case you didnt already know, at least in mine anyway, the lock cylinder must be pressed inward while being turned to get to the accesory position.

yup, autozone has them in stock, i got a $150 pay check today so the Shane is back in business. The list begins to get smaller guys, who told you it would happen. I only worked half a week t get that much money too, its amazing what my next check will be.

They are $12.99 for the cylender and keys, and he owes me 2 years free mechanic work so thats free. he said he'd do it tomorow before i goto work.

I cant wait until friday, no more school at all so then i will have time for my car again. I'll be able to instlal my parts and everything.

Wait 'till after you get your bachelors or whatever you plan on. I charge more than that per HOUR. Now you know why all the 'old d00dz' have the nice cars... and mortgages and car payments and insurance payments and kids and... damn I came in here, got a good giggle and I'm depressed now. How does he do that?!?

thats everyweek might you mind. Us kids dont get paid too much, but what we do get paid is very good for us. One of my paychecks each month goes to insurance, and the rest is spending money and gas money. I dont have a significant other at the time so all my money is mine and i dont gotta get presents for a long time.

Yep, it seems really good, kept me out of school for a year. The above was my poignant push for everyone to stay in school.

I hope you you have that guaranteed job slot written down somewhere and carved in stone. If not, you might be pounding the flightline or peeling spuds in the kitchen.

i know, my step-dad is a chief in the navy, he used to be a recruiter, and he told me not to reinlist, even though signup bonus for that position is $40k and reinlistment is $45k. So there is a veyr large incentive to resign.

My dad was also in the marines for 17 years until president bush sr. kicked him out(the law he made that if you dont get pay role promoted in 7 years your kicked out, well he was a target, he coulda retired in 3 more years too). He works for the dea now and says the same stuff.

I think he meant the air traffic controller position. What with those damn computers doing all these things, there is a possibility that the service will become a tad more automated.

alright guys, new one is in and it works so well i'm stunned. I never knew my old cylender was sooo ****ed up. Noe the key turns without having o giggle it first and all kinds of cool stuff. Very very impressed. Before i have to push it in and out a couple time to get it to move, now it just turns. And acessory position works now, flawlessly, just push it in and turn backwards.

Now that i'm sitting here playing with the old one it goes tinto accessory now, but its junk, the key would come out while it was started so... it needed replaced badly.

woah, ther was an accessory position for the key?
Incirdentally, did you know there is a "NIGHT" position on the rear view mirror? A "HIGH" speed for the wipers? TWO levels of headlighting? These cars come with lots of cool stuff...

Just having a little fun. Don't feel bad - On the first Fiero I had I couldn't figure out how to remove the ignition key for about five minutes. That was pretty embarrassing.

That would be the little lever on the bottom of the rear-view mirror.
