Unplugged line?
I have a metal line that is running on the passenger side of the car, right next to the exaust manifold. It is unplugged and i am not sure what plugs into it. Any ideas?
"Unplugged?"
There are several possibilities. It could be a fuel vapor return line, an air injection line to the cat converter, an air conditioner line, or an air injection line to the exhaust manifold. Can you follow the line until it connects to something? That should determine its purpose.

If it's the line I'm thinking of, it is the line that went from the Air Injection Reaction (A.I.R.) tubes on the exhaust manifold to the catalytic converter. See pictures.

I'm betting that's not metal but hard plastic, and that it goes down to the EFE valve at the end of the exhaust manifold.
You probably have a female rubber plug laying hidden somewhere in that snake pit.

It's metal, and goes to the heat riser (EFE) valve, which is in a little spacer looking thing between the exhaust manifold and the exhaust pipe.
It's supposed to get vacuum from a thermal vacuum switch; IIRC it's on the water outlet.

If it's metal, I'll believe you. Mine's been gone for 2-1/2 years now, but as I recalled it was a sleeved plastic.
Memory's the 2nd thing to go, they say.
What was the 1st, again???
