Not thirdgen, but I need your help.

My dad just got a Cadillac deville, he was wondering where he could get a performance chip for it. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it.

I believe its a 2001. Its pretty sweet, but apparently they made a standard deville then a TS or something like that. The TS has like 30 HP more, and we were thinking that the main difference is probably in the chip. Its all Tune Port Injected, comes with a big exhaust system, and is pretty much ***** to the wall as it is, but my dad really wants that extra 30. Not bad for an old guy.

2001 cadillac has no chip or tuned port injection. it is sequential multi port and has just a pcm. does not have a an eprom (chip).

oh ok, the system looked a lot like a TPI setup with the little that you can see with all of the shielding and stuff on. So what can he do to get that extra horsepower from the car?

Thanks, Mike

I put a set of Denso injectors in my wife's 91 4.9... amazing improvement over the Multec garbage that was in it before... if you have Multec 19 lb/hr ones you might want to consider that. The Denso units are the stock ones in Brand F 302s, you can get them from the Mustang guys all day long (I paid $30 for mine), then send them to Cruzin Performance for clean & match. You might be able to find some Bosch ones which would also probably be an improvement.

must be some stuff available for it. gm has produced a few pace cars with around 400hp like that and tim allen has his own version out right now with alot more hp. i'd contact hypertech and see if there is a programmer available. or maybe jet. borla probably has an exhaust kit, but i'm about positive corsa has one. k and n filter would help some too. i bet there is a web site just for them with some mods available. don't worry about hurting that tank they call a transmission. it's way overbuilt as it is, it can take it.
