Engine was giving smoke, now it's fine.

Hey guys, just wanted to see if anyone else has tried this with similar results? My car was giving off smoke every time I started the car, after it was running it was fine though. I don't know much about fixing engines so I tried a product that some guy told me about at the track. It's called power2n. It cost me about $100 and now the smoke has stopped. This stuff seemed to work great. It cleans and treats the metal in the inside of the engine. It engine sounds better too. I'm just curious if anyone else has tried this stuff? and what were your results? I don't know about the complete kit, but the engine treatment potion seems to work awesome. If you wanted to check it out the address is www.power2n.com

that potion sounds more expensive than the parts that could be causing your engine to smoke.....altho its a lot easier to pour something in....dotn count on the engine just *fixing* itself for good...this is just temporary. tell me this, was it thick like molases?

The treatment is supposed to be a one time treatment. You put one solution in your oil to clean the engine, and one in the gas to treat the engine. The guy that told me about said he used it in his racecar and gained 10HP on the dyno. He said it cleans all the garbage off the metal and makes it a smooth surface so less resistance. I figured I'd try it because he told me it should clean the buildup problem that was causing the smoke, and it did. If it gains HP thats always a bonus too. I don't have a dyno, so I can't verify that. The liquid wasn't thick at all.

I thot the usual cause of smoke on start-up was from the valve stem seals or something like that, not a build up of gunk?

And while we are on the topic of treatments, what do you think of Lucas? I had heard lots of good stuff about it, so I tried it in both my truck and GTA at the same time... the truck did benefit from it, but I had more headaches from the car that I thot I should have.

the *gunk* was prolly holding that engine together, now you done gone and messed it all up (spits) my best r.ed..n.e.c.k impersonation.

ring blowby can happen on start up, but the car would have to be smoking like a freight train for it to be that bad.

but like i said, hey, if it worked.... kick ***.

Engine Restore works well too...its only like 8-10 bucks for the 8 cylinder can...it conditions seals and removes fine scratches int he bore resulting in increased (if needed) cylinder pressure and balance....

i bought a can of that stuff and had my engine pressure checked before i used it...there were 2 low cylinders and th e other werent as consistan as they should be.....i poured it in drove the 500 miles it says on the back (took 2 tanks and a saturday) then took it back on monday morning....not only were the 2 low cylinders not low anymore, all 8 were within 4-5 psi low to hi.....i could tell it just ran better, not more power per say just felt new

anyway i dont work for them or anything lol...just something that i observed

It's been almost 2 weeks since I treated the engine, and my car seems to have more pull. It feels and sounds much better to drive. It hasn't been long though, so I figure I update for those who are interested... if it lasts. At the moment, I very happy with the results. Oh, and the original problem I don't think was the valve seals, because those smoke right at ignition I believe. Where as mine was smoking (not tons, but a bit) for a few min. after I started. It seemed fine after it heated up. That problem is gone now, but I'll let everyone know if it lasts.
