I plan to do this sometime in the next two weeks.

I bought my 88 IROC 5.7TPI in November and took it to the dyno shop the following weekend. The dyno was down... A week later I put on my snow tires - can't really dyno with snow tires.

This past Friday, I put my summer tires back on and will dyno the car as soon as I get a chance. I will post the results and printout on this site. Check the Racing and Autocross forum.

I will find these results very interesting.

I dynoed my 92Z28/305TPI/auto when it had just a SLP catback on it. My number were 191rwhp and 256rwtq. Hope that helps some.

ive had my stock 82 on a dyno it was about 150hp and tq220. without smog crap so i think that the factory specs are about right.
my friend had his 89 z28. 305 tbi factory roller cam .10 over pistons on the dyno and it was cranking 300hp. made me sad that my 85 with a 350 was only putting out about 320hp and dosent get nearly as good gas mileage as a 305.

I had my 89 RS w/ TBI dynoed. It had about 135,000 miles and 10 years on it, a flowmaster cat-back, open-air, and a chip. The peak RWHP was 158. The thermometer in the garage where the chassis dyno was reading a little over 100 degrees and it was a high humidity day. I'd say if it was around 60 degrees with less humidity my numbers would have been higher.

300 HP from a 305 TBI with the stock factory cam? I smell bullcrap. How much nitrous was this? My dad's 92 RS TBI pulled 158 HP and 220 TQ at the wheels with only a K&N air filter changed, and a stock exhaust from an 85 IROC, and 190k on the clock. After converting it to TPI, it made 175 HP and 290 TQ, with 205k on the clock.

My 91 Z28 with a 305 5-speed made 195 HP and 260 TQ at the wheels, with a flowmaster catback and free mods. But later we found out two of the cylinders were bad, so it should have made more.

I think that the Tq was underated cause I was killing LS1's 0 to 60 and they are rated around the same tq as we are. But hp the LS1's always kicked my *** . But maybe its the car and driver and how well its tuned etc. I want to do it to my car with my mods right now but dont know any where around here.

hello to all, I dynoed my 89 iroc about 3 weeks ago with the mods listed and a AFPR at 51 psi and turned 217 hp at the wheels, and 296 ft/lbs of torque. Not bad in my opinion. I also turned a horrible time of 15.07 at 93mph last year w/ the that power. Maybe with traction it'll be better this year. Oh and to all please check out my other post about the vibration. I can't drive until i figure it out. THnx to all and KEEP ON 'ROCING

IROCZTWENTYGR8 -

To respond to your question, yes the 88 IROC 5.7 TPI is basically stock. Details as follows:
- Just under 90,000 miles on the clock
- K&N
- Dynomax Cat-back

Everything else is stock. After owning this car for 5 months, it will be interesting to see what I really have. I will post the results - give me a week or two to get to the dyno shop...

My Butt Dyno says I'm putting out about 300 RWHP and about 375 Torque!

If you want to wait a little while, I'll put on shorts instead of jeans, go strap back in and give you a more accurate number!

What?!? My LS1 dyno'd 320ft/lbs of Torque from 2000rpm to 6000rpm a Straight Line all the way across.

I find it very hard to belive that you kept up. I know how fast your car is, I have been driven and raced them alot.

It wouldnt even be a race if you rolled up on me.

I dynoed my L98 GTA when it was stock just afer I buy it. The clayton 550hp chassi dyno gime 209rwhp and 315lb of torque. Since that I've do some mods and a lot of dyno tuning and my last run rate me at 271rwhp/4400RPM with aprox 345lb/ft, I don't exactly remember the Tq number.

The dyno operator tell me that a stock L98 thirdgen put between 205 and 215 rwhp.

how much is lost through the drive line? like 40 horse? i'm sure it is way different between automatic and manual cars. manual trannies absorb less power. on the average how much is lost?
