Why? At 15.6, probably not, but it may screw with your mpg., and emissions.

you need some regular old fashioned AC delcos you aren't helping anything with the platinum plugs

ede, they are not that bad if you don't want to change your plugs for a while. So long as you don't blow money on the +4's. The only 'bad' thing about them is the slight taxing of the ignition system (as compared to a copper core) and the bad combination with a multi-spark unit. In a stock application for extended duty, they are pretty good.

i'll stick with ACs if i want anything a little extra i use rapid fires. now if i had something like a 305 monza (remember them) that had a 4 hour flat rate on plug R&R i'd use a high dollar plug that lasted 100,000 miles.

Yup. it's going to crack in half, lose half of the cylinders, get lypo-engine-suction, lose another half of that displacement and become a Civic engine.

LOL! Make sure you get a video of it doing that!!!!

It'll hurt the mpgs and the power a bit. If you have them in there for long enough, you would be better of finacially going and getting the right ones. The wasted fuel will add up to the cost a new set of the right plugs very quickly.

Si.

THERE IS NO END TO MY HATRED FOR THOSE PLUGS!!!

They caused lots of carbon tracking and *** knows how much money in lost fuel because the threads on the damn terminals would crud up and the resistance would block current and cause a weak spark. Throw them in the trash and get the standard AC Delco plug for your application. If anything theyll slow you down over time.

A colder plug heat range will not in itself hurt anything. A colder plug runs cooler. which means it will tend to not
overheat and glow ( causing preignition) when you are WOT and making lots power. (heat)
Diuring normal driving A colder plug will tend to run darker an accumulate more deposits from low speed stop and go city driving and could have a shorter usefull life if that the way your car is usually driven.
Frequent short trips will tend to foul a cold plug faster than a hot(er) plug. Cause your not making enough combustion heat to clean the plug.

If you're a "lead foot" you got nothing to worry about.
A slightly colder plug will *help* keep the motor out of harmfull preignition while you're leadfooting it and will self clean the plug from a good hard run.
It's all a matter of heat management.
City driving- short trips = hotter plug
WOT hard driving- racing = select a colder plug heat range.

two steps colder is not going to be a problem.
