Squeaky pushrod...

I'm running Comp cams magnum roller tips on my 882 camaro heads, the #1 pushrod is rubbing against the head and for the life of me i can't figure out why. i've heard that it's a problem with 1.52 rockers. that same rocker (#1), the bearing dosen't sit perfect on the valve, it always moves over a little. the pushrod is brand new and the roller lifter should be fine..

anyone else have this problem ?

Thanks for any suggestions/comments,

Dave

Yes, atleast I think I do. I haven't pulled the valve cover yet to see which one it actually is. Sounds like #1 though. Gonna take a closer look Sunday.

Where exactly is it rubbing? On one of the sides? Or on the near side, by the rocker stud? If it's towards the front (by the stud) elongate it for clearance. If it's off to the side, just how far "off" is the roller tip from the valve tip "center"?

i'd say that the rocker is about 1-2mm to the left on the top of the valve. the pushrod is rubbing on the right side of it's hole.

i'm guessing it's the surface on the top of the valve making the roller tip move over to the side. im gonna pull the rocker off here in a few days to inspect the valve.

it dosen't squeak untill i get to NOT, then it starts. kinda imbarrasing when i pull up to a carload of chicks with a camed up car that's squeaking

i get that "what a POS" look all the time usually a nice burnout or twist launch fixes that tho

What rocker are you using, self-aligning?
