One of my plugs broke in half when I was trying to pull my headers out fo replace the gasket.
So I went ot the store and bought 2 brand new Bosch +4. Screwed them in.
When the engine started it felt like it was shaking a little bit.
What is wrong?
1.Do the new plugs need time to break in? (The other 6 plugs are about 8 months old)
2.When engine is idling it does not have a smooth idle and the RPM fluctuates between 100 to 150 rpm. what would cause that?
PS. I am quite sure that these plugs were correctly gupped.
Thanks.

Are you sure you didn't crack any of the other plugs while you were working on the engine? They could be slightly damaged and not noticeable. Only thing I can think of.

You can't gap the platinum +4 ones, so that isn't the problem. Are all of the other plugs the same? It does sound like you got some type of spark problem.

I agree with the plug wire routing.
I always mix up 5 and 7.

You an me both. It's really confusing after a few empty Guiness bottles, especially since they are not only physically adjacent but adjacent in the firing order.
Then again, I have trouble getting a ball point pen to retract after a few stouts...

Make sure that when you put you're wires back on, that none of them are touching your headers. Cause if they are, they will burn thourgh the insulation and start to ground out.
