Yeah, amazing, eh? Makes you wonder why they let the engine rev to 4500 rpm. No power above 3000 rpm, just a lot of nothing ...

Like a Bugs Bunny cartoon when Bugs holds up a sign that says "Tiny, ain't it?" A little stock L-98 cam even looks like a monster next to the LG-4 cam.

The LO3 cam is just as bad. .385/.381 on this beast.

Those are both exhaust lobes you show yourself measuring in your pics.

But you're right, the L03 cam uses exactly the same profile as teh older LG4; it should measure about .266" on the lobe (that would be the difference between what you show the caliper on, and the measurement across the sides); which is .385". May measure a scosh lower than that exact # due to wear, of course. That was one of the factory's ultimate stupidities: they didn't seem to realize that they could improve their cam profiles by using rollers, instead they just copied over the same weak garbage from flat-tappet cores to roller cores.

Yup. I have a bunch of random pics and just selected 2 of them for clarity reasons. The other pics are sorta blury.
