q-jet fuel adjustmet is more than just jets. There are different size rods as well. Take a look here for some info on changing jet sizes.

Go the the junk yard and strip apart a few q-jets for different size rods and jets and start playing with different combinations.

Upside down maybe? P65. Not sure what the P would be but 65 sounds better. The q-jet I used to have had 63's in it.

I can almost garauntee that the q-jets primaries are not too small for a 305 with some goodies... it was more then enough for my 350 with some goodies!

I agree w/ BC, there is absolutely NO reason to be messing around with the primary side of your carb. I too ran stock primaries on my old 85 w/ a cammed 350, and it ran prefectly and got better gas mileage than most TPI cars. the only alteration from stock was i ran 5/32 travel on the MCS (max for factory spec) which helped cover up a small 1/2 throttle stumble.
You're welcome to experiment, but you are wasting your time.

btw, i can especially guarantee you won't find any WOT gains from different primaries. I experimented with opening and closing the MCS travel up one night at the track (equivalent to playing with rods. And it didn't matter if i closed it up to practically nothing or ran it wide open, my et and MPH were identical. Q jet primaries don't do anything significant during WOT, the secondary metering is what makes your AF ratio.
