What cam would you put in this motor?
ZZ4 bottom end, Trickflow CNC 23 degree heads, 1.6 full roller rockers(will swap to 1.5rr if necessary), Holley Stealth Ram, 3200rpm stall, 3.91:1 gears. I need a hydraulic roller cam. The car is a weekend warrior that will possibly see the strip 5 times a summer and cruise on the weekends. Its not a daily driver. I have the LT4 Hot Cam now and it seems a bit small. I am looking for high 11's with this setup but I do not wanna have to spin it to much past 6000rpm to get the power out of it. I am concerned about valve float also with the hydraulic setup so I will be installing a Comp Cams Rev Kit. I will be doing my own prom tuning also. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

Well I just got off the phone with comp cams helpline and they recomended the XR288HR for my setup:
236/242 duration
.520/.540 lift
110 lsa
978 springs and the 3136 timing chain. Does anyone see anything wrong with this setup? Are those springs too much for a hydraulic roller? IS this cam gonna be tunable with a 730 ecm?

Well, its my personal preference, when you deal with a steep lobed cam like the Xtreme grinds, your power falls very quickly after it reaches peak unlike ramped cams. For instance, my 306 actually peaks at 6200 rpm, but it only drops off 7 hp at 6500rpm. If the Xtreme grinds peak at say 5900, your gonna see a 30-45 hp drop at 6000-6100 rpm. If thats what your using it for, by all means go for it, I personally don't like steep cams. This gets discussed quite often at Camaroz28.com. Let me know if you need more info and I can post some threads. Im headin to lunch

Comp Cams 306:
230/244 (1.5 rockers) .510/.540 112 LSA
I love it
. Bad boy makes power in the 6000's.
XE grind 230/236:
He is explaining the sudden drop in power due the steep lobes:

cc306 vs 230/236 XE

There is more, just don't have time to get them.
The main advantage of the CC306 is its long exhaust duration and lift. Since chevy heads exhaust flow usually blows, it really helps out, once you port your heads and your exhaust flows better, the cc306 will still be powerful, but not as good as other grinds. Nothing wrong with an extreme grind cam, just not my cup of tea.
