I would go with the MSD 6AL box, Super conductor wires, and a high output coil.

Save your money and put it into another mod. I would look into a set of aftermarket wires though.

You have a great list of mods there but it still won't be needed. I would take that money and put it into chip burning stuff. There is nothing wrong with getting a MSD, coil, cap, rotor, and wires but there is no need for the digital box yet.

MSD boxes are great for a stand alone IGN system or when you need rev controll but just slaping a 6A or 6AL box piggy backed into your stock system will do nothing noticable. Do all the rest of those mods first then if you have extra cash to blow then worry about a MSD box.

I'll have to disagree with the crowd. An msd 5, or 6A would likely get you increased gas milage. I've installed about 50 of these (mainly 6A and 6ALs) on cars I got to see a lot of after and the only car that didn't get better gas milage was the Cobra. If you plan on running the car later in it's life the 6A or 6AL would be my choice, depending on your driving skill and equipment.

I have to agree with red devil. An MSD 6 or 6A will not only make for better gas milage, it will help for quicker starts and smoother idle. The digital 6, though a bit pricey has a start retard and a single retard control. Even if you're not into nitrous, the retard may be good even if your engine temp is running a bit higher than normal.

I also recommend the blaster coil. It's inexpensive and once you actually have a powerband above 5k, you will notice a difference.

Take a look at the stickies in the DIY PROM board as well as in the TBI board. There is a lot of reading to do before you get started.

Easy killer. I was asking a question. Most aftemarket boxes are digital and all claim to have the highest output juice. I would worry more about reliabilty than which one produces 5 more volts. I was trying to get you to elaborate on such a blanket response.

sry i was alittle tense atm, but the msd are analog. and the primary voltage of the mallory is 520 compared to msd's 460 or 480volts.
