stupid question
i have an older model 350 in my camaro and a stock radiator. the outlet on the water pump is way bigger that the inlet on the bottom of radiator. where can i find a hose that will fit? do they sell hoses that are bigger on one end? sorry for such a stupid question.

Much, much simplier to just get a new water pump for your car application. Sell the "new" pump that came with the motor on eBay.

Are you retaining the serpentine system that came in your car? If so, you need a different water pump, anyway.

Most likely you'll be able to cobble something together. Take the existing hose to the store along with knowing the inlet size on the pump. You might get lucky. The universal, corrugated, bendable type is the most likely to fit the bill. Then, the next time you need to replace the hose, you'll have to either remember the number you got this time, or go through the process all over again.
Or, spend $15-$35 now on a water pump that fits the engine, has a hose that is off-the-shelf, is molded to shape, can be looked up by even the least of parts counter types (or, like I do, on the internet), and actually "fits".

'82-'87 were standard rotation. '88 was the start of the serpentine-type reverse (opposite of engine direction) rotation.
Any particular reason you're not retaining the serpentine set-up? IMHO, it's highly superior.
(I checked www.partsamerica.com - the lower radiator hose is the same for '88 V8 and '86 V8.)
