Why is my car so slow?

1990 pontiac firebird 350 5.7 L Automatic

Modifications:
1)replaced 305 tbi with 350 tbi
a)cam
b)roller rockers
c)slp headers
d)flat top pistons
e)high volume oil pump
f)performance push rods
g)edlebrock intake
2)high performance "black magic" cooling fan
3)shift kit
4)performace plug wires

And my car is still slow!!!

Hints:
1)I haven't changed the computer chip.

Anyway what should I do next that will help my performance the best?

Or is there something I need to check out?

Please Help!!!

Ok as soon as I get home I will get the information on the can roller rockers and other goodies. I haven't taken it to the drag stip yet but I always get beat by those stupid gt mustangs. Its very disappointing. I hardly ever beat them. The rear end is stock and the tbi came off the 305. The heads aren't anything special although they aren't stock. The 350 has been bored out 60 over (I think) It can't be bored out anymore. I will get more info when I get home.

Well altogether now "how slow is it?" Seriously, slow is very vague, and it depends on what you consider fast. Where did the 350 come from and what is its condition? Did you use the tbi from the 305 on the 350? Just saying "cam" or "roller rockers" doesn't say too much since the wrong cam could have made the car slower, etc. The shift kit and intake should've helped though. You need to establish a baseline and go from there. What does in run in the 1/4? Have you done a tune up recently? How do you drive it?

When I plan an engine build I look for what works best in AKA dyno matched parts. Sure some things will always give you more power compared to a stock item but there are areas that high performance parts wont do much unless thier matched.
That said, how about gears most of our cars came with wussy highway gears replace these with a higher ratio and who instant go.
I have a set of 3:73's and when I used them I couldent get traction but when they hooked up instant neckjerk. Try some gears or at least post the ratio you currently have 3:42's work nicely in a built 350.

Change to TPI with 22lb. injectors and upgrade to the right computer. TPI will take your engine to the next level.

I really think that this is one of my main issues. For two reasons one because The rear end is leaking and two because it seems like it has the power its just not pulling.

Any other suggestions are appreciated!

Is it possible that the shift kit (and/or tranny) is junk and the tranny is slipping?

Make sure all the parts are matched for eac other and what you're going to be doing with the engine, and make sure the engine is tuned correctly, that'll save you -alotta- trouble down the road.

I agree with ssc. You aint gonna go fast right away with your 2.73 more then likely with your old motor thats what it is. Ill bet you can get some top end though.
