Egr?

I here of alot of guys blocking off there egr on there tuned ports. Will this effect my computer in any way. I dont know of any way this will help performance other than keeping the hot gases from entering the system again. Thanks for any reply.

Keep the EGR in-tact, as blocking it off will not net you that much of a difference in performance... not much to brag about, that is.

Thanx for the advice. I am building a new motor and wanted to do the lt1 conversion that has the egr blocked and was not sure if it would send codes.

You'll need to disable the EGR's function in you're ECM.

whats the point though? it shouldn't effect performance any being that the car EGR shouldn't be active if your are giving it much gas.
only time it should be on and active is when cruising and from my understanding it helps out with giving you a little better gas mileage

If you decide on going with an LT1 intake, and/or a Holley Stealth Ram, yes...
