Car needs to start NOW!
Well I'm in the middle of painting my Camaro. Went back to the shop today and found that it no longer runs! Saturday it ran fine. Took it to the shop did body work, washed the car (engine got wet), and then parked it. Came back on Monday (didn't do anything Sunday) and the car won't start. It's trying to start, like it's revving up. But it won't turn over. And if you crank it long enough, you can smell gasoline (seemingly from the back of the car). What's wrong? The shop is too far away to have it towed home, and I blew all my money on paint, so I can't afford to take it anywhere else. I need to get it out of the shop!
P.S: It's a 92 Camaro RS with an LO3 and 700-R4.
Any ideas...?

WD-40 is flammable for a period of time after its been sprayed so it may not be the best thing to use around an open spark. A good, clean rag will be best. Wipe all the parts dry and maybe follow up with some compressed air to carefully blast out any remaining water.

LPS #1 works good. but it is also some what flammable, but not as much as what WD40 is.
my recommendation is to spray it down first & then thoroughly blow it out with compressed air.

You guys think it might be the fuel pump? That seems to be the general opinion here. But it was working fine before I parked it.

it could be the fuel pump, its not uncommon for them to work fine & then not work on the next start up. hang a pressure gage on it & see what you have.

check the battery ground that can cause the car to not even try to turn at all
if not check battery look for something that might have came loose/check fuel pump fuse

You can thank the environazi's for that. It's because of them we have nonflammable, CFC free brake cleaner that won't clean **** off anything anymore.
