Transmission: 6 spd
Checking a timing chain...

...doing the cam swap...this timing set has about 25K on it...is there a way to inspect the set to make sure it's still up to spec? I looked in the manual and couldn't find anything....also did a search and founde nada....thanks!

Replace it..they are cheap.....get a Summit double roller for the roller block for about $50. At 25K I wouldnt trust it in a high po setup.

I haven't verified this yet but I've been suspecting an issue with my timing chain recently and here's a post I found on here:

i wouldn't bother checking, just replace it. use to be you looked for deflection in excess of the chain thickness when you held it sideways.

Only down side to that is you have to clearence th block a little bit for the double roller gear to fit. Can be harder if the block is in the car.

Only one I had clearance issues on was the Cloyes piece. I had the Summit double roller and it fit fine. I am running a Comp Cams piece now and it fits fine also....
