When Idling it clicks...its faint but I can still hear it.

Its been doing it for a long time. I keep the oil changed and checked..
5-w30 syn.

When I accelrate it gets faster and a little bit louder...not much.

Have you adjusted your valve lash? Do you have aftermarket injectors?(they can be louder than stock)

Setting the lash is how tight you make the rocker arm adjusting nuts. Too tight will cause the valves to hang open, too loose will cause a tapping noise that gets higher with rpms.

Setting hte valve lash is pretty simple, really. Its been posted here before, do a search. You say not a stock block. If the engine was rebuilt with solid lifters, then you may have a real hard time getting there to be no valve train noise. I bought a used 350 to put in my car, and I'm assuming its got solid lifters rather then hydraulic because I can go from lumpy idle to ticking in 1/8 of a turn on the nut.

I am pretty sure they are solid...I can really only here the ticking while the windows are up...

and if it is the injectors...im going to wait untill I get the new runners and injectors 24# ect...cuz Ill need a new chip anyways..
