Check your hood clearance with a lump of plasticine and find out.

It would be really close, if i had to guess i would say not enough room, sounds like you need my spare cowl hood

Sorry for the off topic but since you've got the hood coming off can you take some pics of the carb conversion (all of the plumbing and stuff) and email em to me? I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks,
Mike

I can bet yours diffinitely won't fit. My street dominator is about the same height as a performer and i have a 1405 and the hood just hits the air cleaner
btw is that hood scoop still available?

Ill try to get those pics to you as soon as i can. Theres not really much to it, just have to re-route a few things

What kind of spacer are you running? The one i need is i think 1/4 or 1/2 inch

I really appreciate it! I can't really figure out how to route the gas lines or the vacuum lines. What size fittings do I have to use to connect up the fuel lines?

THanks again,
Mike

On my 84 im running a edelbrock 2701 intake, 1406 carb, and the 14" open element and i have inder 1/4" clearance... without some type of low pro air filter its not going to fit.

Firebird hoods have less clearance than Camaro hoods.
