I'm wondering the same question, curious to see the answer. Will a 3" round house fit a 6x2" opening? I believe the internal area of a 3" circle is greater than that of a 6x2" square/oval...

ive finished mine finally. i stuck a short piece of black PVC pipe inside the alumninum hose. i drilled holes through the PVC to attach it to the underside of the nose of my car. works pretty good. kinda keeps the engine cool. when someone's revvin the motor and i stick my hand in the pipe, i can feel it suckin the air in. its pretty strong, sucked a few screws all the way up to the air filter. mines carburated.

Rockhound, exactly what kind of hosing did you use? I've been to the local Home Depot store, and couldn't find any hosing that would work. They had some 3" hosing, but it was too stiff to be able to be bent enough to fit the 6x2" opening on my dual snorkel air cleaner.

Do you know the brand of the tubing and where'd you buy it from? Thanks so much!

I used a different setup using the TPI induction system on my RS. I thought about doing it the way that you guys are doing it and I thought of a few things...

You could use and IROC grill and run the ducting into one of the fog lamp housings, I don't know the dimensions but if the hosing is too big you can take care of that with some tin snips. If its too small you can expand it with additional pieces and some extra work...

You could also run the hose into one of the headlamp housings, I know a lot of people that have done it with their chevelles. They'll pull the headlight and hook up the hose during drag racing, or if they just want headlights they'll put the light back in and plug it back in. Others have put it into their turn signal locations...

I've seen other people do it using an old oil bottle and trimming the piece to fit. I didn't think that that would work that well, but the structure of the container actually isn't that bad, but depending on where you put it, it looks kind of tacky...
