it's real simple on a carbed car. does your car have the v belt?serpetine setup? or just one serpetine belt? if it the first one your in luck. all you have to do is remove the A.I.R. pump, the small belt for the pump, A.I.R. tubes, and the A.I.R. divertor valve(that black box thing with all those emissions hoses that go to it). you will have to plug the holes where the A.I.R. tubes used to go. you will need 8 1/2" pipe plugs for that. do not remove the air pump bracket as the fuel pump boss will be exposed through one of the threaded holes(oil will spill out).

ok, I went to home depot to get the plugs, but they had a few different ones to choose from, which one is the one I need, they had a threaded steal one, and a non treaded copper one I think they called it a fitting plug though. thanks

i used the 1/2" steel ones but got mine at autozone. you will use those to plug up the holes where the little air tubes used to go into on the exhaust manifolds or headers. (whichever you own)
is the tread 1/2 inch, cause when I went to home depot the guy showed my plugs but they seemed to be like 3/4 with a 1/2 wrench end. do they sell the plugs at discount auto parts. so all I have to do is plug those 8 little holes and the rest of the hoses I just rip out? and about how long does this whole thing take
I would like to remove the air pump, cat, and the egr setup. I have the tbi and one belt for everything. Will this cause any problems? I want to put regular headers on the car instead of the ones with the air tubes.
