Crank size?

I am thinking of stroking my 305 tpi. I know that when you stroke a 350 you use a 400 crank, but I wasn't sure what the crank size should be if your stroking a 305. If anyone knows please help me out. Thanx.

The 305 and 350 cranks are the same size (3.48 stroke) if that helps. Maybe use a 3.75 stroke crank that is used to make a 383 out of a 350?

Why are you stroking your 305? You should just get a 350 for the same price it equals more power.

Yes. That is exactly the crank you use on a 305 to stroke it. It's a 3.75" throw crank. With the 305 bored .030" over it comes out to a 334. Most people round it up to 335 just so it sounds better.

Btw, Be careful. The 400 crank only came in 2 pc. rear main seal form. Stock anyway. You can buy a 1 pc rear main crank from a company such as Scat. Although it still has to be externally balanced.

I know that Powerhouse has a few kits like that for the 305 and the 350. You can email them by using the link at their web page. www.enginekits.com

Just ask them to send you the latest order pamphlet. They have all the needed parts to do this swap.
