Bogging/losing power
I filled my car up 2 days ago, it started doing this weird thing. When i try to take off, it bogs down, and then picks up. I changed the module and fuel filter. What else could it be? Just bad fuel? Any and all help would be appreciated.

Hmm...Did it give you any Check engine lights to go off? If so get it scanned for codes, and if not you should check your TPS (throttle position sensor) That could have gone bad, how many miles is on it? I would just check for regular vaccume lines sensors...Give us some info about the car/ miles year/any problems in the past?

Check engine light goes on and off regularly. emissions removed, egr valve opens and closes it goes on and off. didn't do it all day yesterday, or earlier today, until tonight. came on and off 3 times, had it scanned before that, turned up nothing. gonna scann it again. gonna try the tps. has 169000+ miles on it, 1600 on the rebuilt engine/trans combo. Ideas going by are: TPS, EGR, Fuel Pump, Fuel Sock...

Hmm...Yeah most likely a TPS sensor, but you never know. Hmmm...when you get it scanned you should also check if the IAC is going on and off like it should and not sticking.

If the IAC/ISC is bad and not engaging and disengaging like it is supposed to it should be throwing a code. A way to check is just to unplug it and see if it will fix the problem, it will throw a code and you will have a slightly higher and possiblely a "wandering" idle but it shouldn't bog down anymore. Does it do this everytime now or just some yes and some no. An IAC/ISC motor will go bad and stay bad, I've never heard of one sometimes working and sometimes not. It is a stepper motor so once one coils goes bad it ruins the whole damn bushel. It may have something to do with that edeljunk carb too!:P

well if you still have your tbi then i would start to check for broken vac lines going into the tbi and around the intake manifold, if it bogs down then picks up it could be hungry for more fuel i would look at your fuel pump and check it out. oh and another thing look if your map sensor vac line is cracked or broken or just lose becasuse it would still run and all but it would have poor performance. just my little thoughts.
