so i got everything else off and now it is time for the pully. i'm kind of leery about taking it off because i don't want it to come crashing down...any advice on what to unbolt first and how to do it...

Are you taking the pulley off the pump or taking the whole pump out of the car?

then why not just remove the pump by removing the 2 bolts that hold it on to bracket... and slide it off.. really not that hard to do lol. after you get done doing that then remove the bracket.

alright...i got the pully and the pump out and the one bracket that is on top of it. but then i tried taking off one of the little brackets that is attatched to the front of the engine block. the rear bolt came off fine, but when i went to take the bolt off that was furthest front, coolant came out of it and i promptly bolted it back up...what is up with this? it looks like a tiny bracket off the block that the other bracket attatches to.

if i remember right. on mine your had the top bracket. the bottom part of the bracket it used to hold on the power steering pump and also bolts into the water pump i think.. I will need to go out and look in the morning. But i do distinctly remember that i could only remove the top bracket and had to leave the other one alone.

haha, my power steering pump bolt will do the same thing. It just goes right through into the water jacket. no biggie, just make sure you plug up the hole after!

You may also find a bolt on the lower passenger side front that will do similar except it leads to an oil galley and will spray oil!
