Felpro or GM Head Gasket

Hey guys,

I need some input on which head gaskets to purchase for my impending vortec swap. Stock replacement from GM PN 10105117 .028 compressed thickness, or Felpro 7733PT-2 .039 compressed thickness.

How much of a difference in compression will you see from a .011 difference is compressed gasket thickness?

Steve

if you're using those gigantic combustion chambers in those Vortec heads anyway... well I don't know what to tell you.

Like Nova said, the combustion chamber size is 64cc, same as the heads that are on the car now. Thanks for all of the input guys.....looks like I'll pick up the GM gaskets.

Save yourself some potential problems and just use the GM .028 head gasket. The price is right and is of excellant quality.
