Harmonic Balancer question
I went to check my timing and to move it to 3*advanced.
The tab with the 12 8 4 TDC, I tried to aline the mark on the balancer with the 4* mark, but it wont stay running near 12*, but it idles smooth near the 10 0'clock position.. is my harmonic balancer off?

well, if i were to get my #1cyl at TDC, i can make a mark on my harmonic balancer that is lined up with the TDC mark on the tab, and that will still work correct?

Are you unplugging the ESC? It's the brown/black wire just in front of your heater box.

it should have a plug, and be the only wire connected to that plug. You need to disconnect that wire in order to get accurate timing readings.
