I am pretty sure it will lope even with a 114 lobe seperation.Thats the edelbrock performer rpm cam. I would have tried something like the xe268 or 274.

Who are you buying that cam from?
Summit/erson has it much cheaper I imagine. It'll lope and all that, the idle speed will make you smile, but it'll hurt the wallet, and lack low end, due to lazy ramp rates. All the downsides of the big cam, none of the perks of a smaller cam. The xe274 or the like would be a better cam. It sure depends on the rest of the setup though, if it'll run well or not.

How many rpms are you shooting for? With a cam like that you will definitly need to spin it up for it to be in it's range for power. I hope you've got a nice slippy converter to go with that cam along with the correct springs.

he meant that summit makes the same cam, duration and lift. but it cost like 70 bucks versus $180. i got the same one and i opted to buy edelbrock, because i dint trust the summit one. looking back i wish i would have bought the summit one, or like they told me a comp cam would have been better

i thought so because the lsa is 114 on yours and 112 on mine o well. it runs good in mine but its never been dynoed or to the track. but lookin at my setup i think it was a bad choice. well maybe you can make it work for you

hard on the wallet - it's super lame ramp rates give you the big cam drawbacks, but none of the small cam perks. You can get your cake and eat it too, with faster ramp rates - hence, newer designed cams.
Hurting the wallet is pisspoor gas mileage.

350? 882 heads and a 234/244 cam? Nah, i'd use the 305 heads, less prone to cracking, smaller chambers, slighly better ports. You'll want all the compression you can get to use a big cam like that (remember, i'm still not suggesting you buy that cam, but for any "big" cam you want more static CR). use the 416's, and port the snot out of 'em. They work great, see sig.

no, i've been fighting tuning issues since I got it running. By the time it got all smoothed out, it was winter, and i'm back in university
In the spring i'll probably dyno tune it.
