Weird spark leak problem?

In a nut shell, I was tyring to track down a weird intermident miss problem. So tonight I pop the hood in the dark and find 9 spark leaks. Every cylinder has a leak right at the end of the boot, between it and the steel hex of the plug. The 9th leak is at the coil (remote mount HEI coil) and it's coming on each side of it right in between the coil body and the metal frame that is going around it. I wouldn't be that confused it was just one or two doing it, but all 8 at the same spot? That has me confused. I did remount it recent and have a pic if I can get it posted. Would anyone have any ideas?

It does seem weird. Maybe the guy making the spark plug cables was having a bad day or something.

In any case I'd replace em with a diff kind.

Insert foot in mouth LOL.

I know for sure that you shouldn't see any spark unless its across the spark plug gap.

Make sure you have a good ground to the cylinder head (<.5 ohm to neg on battery), if you do then replace the wires.
