damaged return line

I am just about done with my engine swap. (89 305 tpi)
The return line was damaged during the motor pull.. It is pinched, probably about half to a quarter of the diameter it should be. My question is, how will this effect the fuel pressure, and will it cause pump damage. (I have a feeling I already know the answer). The car is almost running... Please advise.

You shouldn't run it like that, cut the damaged section out, and fix it with a coupling.

Does anybody know the correct size coupling to use? I am at school and have no access to my car. I figure I'll get the parts now and get a jump on the situation.

I think I read a post with metric sizes, I measured them to be 3/8" supply, and 5/16" return, I'd double check it.

Ok will do..
Anybody have any tips for cutting the line? Ideally I would use a copper pipe cutter, but I don't think I could fit it in there. I'm not sure of any other way to cut it without making sparks and shavings. Any ideas? tricks of the trade?

How much room is there around it? Can you take a picture? I have an idea, but need to see where the damage is at.

Do a search for
Carbide Gritted Rod Saw(Diamond Wire)

Any pipe cutter should work. They don't cost much and are very small. Mine is about the size of a car lighter.

pretty much no room. I havnt disassembled anything yet, but it looks like I will only have a half an inch. If you look at your tpi setup, the fuel return line is damaged where it runs parallel to the passenger side fuel rail.
