Re: cruise control quit working help

There are there coils inside of the servo. Two control the vacuum, and one physically PULLS the servo. Open up the back cover, fine the appropriat leads , and ohm them out to make sure there is no break in the coil. Also, remove and oil the vacuum valves and o rings.

PS.

With the car running, you should be able to use a 12 volt battery or car charger to activate the coils and make sure the servo works. You need the car running so that there is a supply of vacuum.

It's worth a check. AFAIK the control box is solid state.... I would focus on the pieces with moving parts first.

Re: cruise control quit working help

Did you check the vacuum switch on the brake/clutch pedal? If it is cracked so the vacuum vents it will disable the curise. Opening the vacuum switch tells the curise control that you are braking and/or pushing in the clutch which disables the cruise control.
