Tranny Popped out?
I was cruising along down the road earlier today and some guy stopped in the middle of the road so i decided to get around him i florred it and right when it shifted down i heard a loud thump like the tranny was hitting the floorboard. so i stopped on a back road with it in first gear went about 10MPH and hit the gas a few times and every time i hit the gas it would make a loud thunk like one of the mounts or something that holds the tranny came off... how hard is this to replace??

hahah..
yes, your bottom mount most likely has seperated as they do, it's easy, jack it up put it all up o jacks then use your jack to support and raise the tailshaft, remove old, insert new, lower jack tighten, tighten again, done. then go drift around that dude.

Re: Tranny Popped out?
A few weeks ago the same thing happened to me. Turns out I was missing 2 bolts on the crossmember holding the tranny up and it was sliding left and right.

Same thing happened to me. After my swap, turns out on of my mounts was loose. Was driving the car the day i got it home and it scared the **** out of me and my roommate, mine wasnt as loose as yours probably is though, i could still drive around.

Re: Tranny Popped out?
i can still drive around fine it just hits the floor board if i hit the gas kinda hard real quick. but i can drive it around normal without it hitting.

Re: Tranny Popped out?
Just a simple broken rear trans. mount. Get it replaced before you tear up that torque arm bushing, You really don't want to find out how frustrating it is to get that one out.

Re: Tranny Popped out?
Exactly how it was for me. Aslong as it shifted at low rpms and didn't jump on the gas it was fine. I crawled under there and noticed 2 bolts were missing and pushed the tranny and it slid sideways then I remembered I saw a bolt in the grass and put that in the crossmember and it stopped.
