Water Coming Out of my Exhaust...Please Help!

Hey Guys, I have a 1987 Camaro 2.8 V6, and i just need you guys to help me on something.

I am not sure if i have condensation, or a blown head gasket. I my car starts up just fine and idles and runs fine doesnt smoke at all, But when i rev the car over 5,000 RPM's and hold it there for 3 seconds or so, puddles of rusty like water come out of my exhuast. Water never comes out at idle or anything lower than 5,000 RPM's, only when i rev it past 5,000 RPM's and hold it there for a couple seconds.

My temperature and everything are fine, but i just bought the car from a guy who never drove it and it sat for awhile. I checked the dip stick, its just clean oil, no foamy white residue or anything, i also checked the oil filler cap and it is clean as well.

Im thinking that its condesation and the water has been sitting in there for so long that it picked up the rust from the inside of the pipes, but im not sure. Ive had the car for about a month now, and i start the car up every other day and rev it over 5,000 RPM's to check if water is still coming out, and so far every time, rusty water comes out

What do yall think?

Why do you rev it to 5K rpm in the first place?

Try 7K and report the results.

The serious answer is why do you start your car and rev it to 5K rpms?

You do know it's not really good for the engine when it's cold.

The answer you are looking for is it's just condensation coming out of the exhaust when you start it up.

I know that, but i bought it used, so when i first got it, i reved it to 5,000 RPM's to check for mis-firing, and my friend noticed the water coming out, so since then ive been reving it up to 5,000 just to check if water is still coming out, not for the fun of hearing a loud noise lol

Water from the exhaust is an indication of proper combustion. It's a byproduct of burning hydrocarbons.

If you had a blown head gasket white smoke would be coming out of the exhaust it wouldnt just be a puddle of water.

This might sound stupid but is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Re: Water Coming Out of my Exhaust...Please Help!

I know this might be kinda obvious and stupid.. But i gave my car a nice car wash one day and i got a crap load of water in my exhuast tips.. Everytime i started the car for like 2 weeks.. Water would fly out at high rpms.. I got pretty nervous and scared but i figure it out.
