Every time im pulling out of my street i hear a loud thud come from either the tranny or rear. my dad says i might need a new yoke. any other ideas?

 

Transmission mount is likely broken.

 

wat should i look for? a crack in the mount?

 

Take a lever, like a crowbar under the car with you and lever up the back of the transmission. You'll know pretty quckly if it's broken...

Bottle jack works too. Or a scissor jack etc...

 

it could be rear control arm bushings too...

 

I agree with the broken tranny mount too. If you have a T5, it is more easily noticed, by the shifter movement, than it is on a 700R4.

You should be able to get one at your local AutoZone for cheaper than paying the handling fee from Summit or Jegs. I haven't bought one in a while, but it's likely around $15.

 

Yup, its most likely your tranny mount. I had to replace mine once already, and I may have cracked this one too. You can get one from Advance or Napa, they run around $10 if I remember correctly.

Really easy to replace too, wont take you much time at all.
