Mystery Plug
When changing the ICM on the distributor I found a connector that is unplugged and unidentified. Here are four (4) shots of it.

Any information would greatly be appreciated.

Re: Mystery Plug
Same plug is on both my 87's and is not connected to anything, same as reported by several other members in posts here. I'm in the process of re-building the wiring harnesses on a recent motor swap and intend to trace it. Out of curiousity.

Re: Mystery Plug
I know it's not part of the ECM harness either as I pulled that harness and the connector was not attached.

Re: Mystery Plug
When I borrowed a '87 Firebird service manual from the local Pontiac dealer to do some electrical system troubleshooting on a friends car I seem to remember it mentioning that was a vehicle speed sensor connector.
Re: Mystery Plug
I've also seen threads whereas this plug was used in wiring harnesses on both Camaro and Firebird, but was related to the Firebird speedometer. It doesn't seem to be an issue to be concerned with.......hopefully
