hey guys in ready to test out muy new nos sniper kit. i was wondering what gear would be better for dragging/nitrous running? overdrive or drive would be better? the car kicks *** in drive, and well in overdrive. any suggestions?

 

It's easiest just to leave it in drive for testing, however I always manually shifted the auto to get a few more rpms out of each gear. What rear gears do you have? Also, how big of a shot are you going to run?

 

It really doesnt matter because if the tranny is stock it won't go into overdrive at WOT. Like said above, I always manually shift the auto's.

 

im running the stock gears in the rearend, and im running a 100shot

 

i installed the b&M tranny valve to let the trans shift at wot in overdrive, but dunno if it will matter

 

No need for OD drag racing. At least 3.73 gears and if you dont have a posi rear get one or you will have serious one tire fire.

i have an 84 t/a
3000 stall
700r4
3.73 rear gear
26" tall tire i run through the traps at 6000rpm

 

i tested it today and it shifts fine threw first 3 gears and gets up tp 5500rpm, and i let off fearing a kaboomer! is the rpm level right?
