AC Delete on TBI?
Hi guys,
I've tried searching for an ac delete thread but everything seems to be about tpi cars. My ac doesn't work, I've got t-tops, it doesn't get too hot here, so I might as well get rid of it and free up a pony or two. But I can't seem to find a delete pulley for tbi. The one Hawks has says it's for TPI cars. I'm assuming this is because you couldn't delete ac on TBI from the factory. So am I stuck with it?
Thanks guys
Alex

If the compressor hasn't locked on, seized up, etc - it's pretty much just a pulley on it's own!
There's no real parasitic draw from it just sitting there.

Thanks for the info, it's making a lot of noise and seems to be on it's way out. Plus I'd like a cleaner engine bay, even if I have to rewire the cooling fan circuit. Thanks again

Re: AC Delete on TBI?
Just did a TBI a/c delete on my car. Check it out. If you have any questions for me feel free to ask.

Looking good
What did you need to finish it? I plan on buying the delete pulley, heater core, box and blower, ac delete dash, controls, and cables, and wiring harness. Am I missing anything?
Thanks
Alex

The bare minimum that you need, which is what I did, is the ac delete pulley and the heater box. The heater core, dash, controls, cables, and wiring harness can all stay.
