I got a 350 engine block casting numbers 14093638. Now its supposily from a 89 Iroc, But Idk the casting numbers just tell me 87-94. (could be truck car etc) but i herd the "suffix" code will tell him exacly what its from and exacly what year. Can some help me to where it is at? or how i can tell what this engine is from? Thanks

 

There should be a bunch of numbers stamped on a pad in front of the passenger side head. They're usually hard to read because of dirt, paint etc. Get all those numbers.

Nasty28 doesn't have a lot of the newer suffix codes since he deals mostly with second gens. It may be there but probably isn't.

 

V0303SNA in the number on the pad. I thought the s was a 5 and it confused the hell out of me, and I thought the engine was a 89, so i was looking for a z because 89 suffix starts with a z, But its SNA, And It say its a 1987 350 TPI. So I guess its from a 87 Iroc 350 car.

 

225 horse with a little over 300 ft lb torque i know cause ive got one

 

well it will be like double the HP when Im done with it, Its going in my 84 z.
