Re: Mild Wreck

Well the very fist thing ide do is get a copy of the factory manuals body measurment and check to make sure the frame is still strait. These unit body cars dont take hits well and when they do the impact travels through the whole car. So befor you spend big money fixing it make sure its worth fixing thats all. For the axle i wouldnt even bother trying to fix it as you can get a nice used replacement probablt for less that it would cost to repair that one. Maybe even a stronger BW 9 bolt unit. Next if the tow is off something probably got bent so definitely thoroughly inspect the front suspension.

Re: Mild Wreck

No information like that would be exclusively in a factory manual or some body shops that have spec sheets for particular cars which are really just copies of the factory manuals diagram. You might be able to find some one willing to scan you a copy out of their book as many of us have factory manuals and all 82-92 camaro/firebirds chassis were the same so it makes no difference which year manual they came from. If no one will though check your local libraries they even might have copies of old camaro factory manuals. I know the last one i was in had a factory manual for an 91,88, and 83 if im not mistaken. Online you might be able to find this info if you search and if you know someone that has access to alldata it might be on there. Worst case scnario i think i remember someone on ebay selling the spec sheets on ebay although at that rate you might as well buy the factory manual as you can find decent used ones on ebay for around $20 and they are 2-3 inches thick with information specifically on your particular year car. Its a very usefull very detailed manual with everything you could ever possably hope to want to know about your car and about the same price as a cheap haynes manual at your local autoparts store.

How about a new car?

The axle shaft sheered off.. Impressive. I wonder if the tube bent. Hows the control arms look?

Backing plate. Yep that too. Caliper. Rotor. Oh yeah.

What about the front? Toe is off huh? Bet it's messed up there.

I'd part the car out and get another one that didn't crash.

Re: Mild Wreck

Ouch bro. Shitty. Going to cost a bit to get that fixed. The Jy is your best bet for the parts you need.
