Pro magnum sa rocker/valvecover clearance
Do comp pro magnum rockers(1.6 ratio) fit under stock centerbolt valvecovers,or should I buy taller covers?Would they fit under proform valvecovers(1/4" taller than stock) http://www.jegs.com/i/Proform/778/141-130/10002/-1

the mounting pedistals may need clearance machining for safetys sake i would go with taller covers but you can measure to be sure

They wouldnt fit under mine without clearancing so I got tall valve covers.

Re: Pro magnum sa rocker/valvecover clearance
Maybe these other guys have magical valve covers, or just clearanced them, but they just werent going to fit over my rockers:

They would hit the support braces on the inside of regular centerbolt valvecovers.

I had the same problem on mine. I bought the "black crinkle" centerbolt valve covers with the red chevy emblem for mine and I had to have the machine shop notch the support braces inside to get them to fit and I'm only running the stocker 1.5 Pro-Comp Magnums. Seems the tall valve covers don't have this problem.

I ran into the same problem with the stock valve covers not fitting, I imagine if I went and got a thicker gasket it would work cause it's very close.
But I went out and bought the same valve cover your looking at, they are more like 1/2 taller and work great. My only beef with them is the wiring harness for passenger side will not slip back into the stock location between the runners and valve cover if your running a TPI setup.
