Motor mounts stuck to the crossmember
Im getting ready to swap my new motor in, and want to replace the old motormounts, seems simple enough. step 1 : Remove the three bolts holding them to the crossmember. I tried but all 6 bolts just want to spin and not get any looser or tighter. WTF

Re: Motor mounts stuck to the crossmember
Do a search on the site for changing motor mounts. It is easiest to clamshell the mount and change the rubber.

The holes aren't threaded, there are nuts inside the frame.

what does that even mean?????
to do anything to the motor mounts you still have to take them off.
OP, as Aperion stated, there are nuts inside the k-member. You can access them through the a-arm pockets, but its a PITA. Its easy to do with the a-arms removed however. I have done it without taking them off, but its really tricky.

Re: Motor mounts stuck to the crossmember
Do a thread search on 3rd Gen for motor mount replacement. You separate the metal frame like a clamshell would open and replace the rubber inside. This means you leave the nuts and bolts in the frame and the base of the mount.

Re: Motor mounts stuck to the crossmember
Sorry - correction. You leave two of the three bolts in the frame. One is removed when clamshelled. BUT - you only have to mess with one of them and it is up front and easier to get to.
