Re: Good Set of headers?

I have the Hooker 2460's on my car now with the matching Y pipe. They were easy to install and I didn't have any problems putting them on my car. Mine doesn't have A/C though, which helped out some with the install.

I am saving up for Dyno Dons headers. Everyone only has good things to say about them and they clear everything. (it's tight though)

You can use hooker 2055's if you need smog tubes.

Don's headers also have the AIR (smog) tubes, are 1 3/4", bigger than the Hookers, and are JET hot coated. Hookers are cheaper though.

Just giving you more info for your decision.

Re: Good Set of headers?

I have edlebrocks (emissions passable) complete with Y-Pipe. They fit great but I DO NOT like them. They did not seem to free up much power. Just trying to add to the cross off list.

Also, take a close look at flanges on each product you consider. Different flanges can make it difficult to swap other exhaust components down the road. (i.e. the edelbrock ones I have use a two bolt flange while many use a three bolt)

Re: Good Set of headers?

thanks guys. i looked and the 1 5/8 size pipe is what is recommended for the most power. and i am on a low budget so i will most likely go with the cheapest kind.
