I assume it ran fine before the work? I would look into the timing. Have you checked the timing to make sure it is correct? Easy to get the distributor back in the wrong location. Bring number one up to TDC and check the rotor location. Re-stab the distributor if necessary and try to start it. Don't forget to disconnect the computer when you time it once you get it running that is. The other obvious things, wires and vacuum lines all hooked up? Injectors all connected, etc.

Look over EVERYTHING that you did. Leave a connector unplugged???

And FYI, "What" is spelled with a "H" and there is only one "C" in "Vacuum". But all got the two "Us"correct. Kudos on that!!!

Will it run above idle? Double check everything mentioned above throughly from one end to the other and follow basic tune up procedures and settings for the TPI system. It won't hurt to check the fuel pressure either.

Hey thanks for the spelling lesson. Thats probably one of those words I missed in 6th grade on the spelling test. I am clearly not an expert but when you put U's in quotes is there supposed to be an apostrophe? I hope I spelled apostrophe correctly. Just kidding. Spelling error edited.

What really matters is whether or not we help this guy get his car running.

I'm still learning to type! Still use just my index fingers and at times my thumbs but I don't have to look at the keyboard as much.
And it does not hurt to help a person elsewhere a little bit along the way.
Next lesson will be with the difference between "your" and "you're", watch for it.
("UR" is not a word and looks retarded when used as one)

So back to the question in the thread. Have you made progress on getting your car running transamws6? Mad Iroc, I doubt u will stop people from using shorthand in these threads cause its done to get the message out quicker and to take up less space. U will see this a lot in texting. People r not so worried about spelling on here. They jus want to offer advice. No offense but if spelling bothers u, u will b bothered a lot.

I have no doubts I will not get people to stop using what they think is shorthand. Maybe though people will show they have some intelligence. "Ne one" is retarded, not "shorthand". You're here communicating with others on the web in a forum, not texting with your buddies.

If your distibutor is in correctly and timing set correctly then you should look for vacume leaks. Hopefully your intake base is not leaking. Could possibly be a fuel injector gone bad too. Check with a multimeter.
