Cool looking car. Like the cap, I might try one. David Vizard spoke of it in a book of his I have.

I really wish they made these for regular MSD distributors. They look so much cleaner.

I'm going to chime in as the only guy in the world not loving the "corrected" cap.All I can think of is the poor bastard a couple of years down the road that puts a new cap and rotor on,and spends an hour trying to figure out why his car is running like junk.

you know thats what i thought about that 4-7 swap cams if you ever sold the car and someone tried wire it up as a regular small block they would have one awful time figuring it out , as most people would think to adjust timing and that kinda thing not realizing it's actually a wrong plug wire order

Re: Accel Corrected HEI Cap
The only potential problem with those is the insulation breakdown in the cap. It happens to almost every 4.3L Chevy V-6 eventually, and almost every LT1 eventually. The insulation system is the SAME, and Accel has not learned to get it right on replacement caps for 4.3L V-6s to this day. That would be a point of concern eventually, so the next time you develop a miss don't think it isn't the cap because it only has 5,000 miles on it. There are hundreds of documented cases of high-end aftermarket caps doing this in 5-10K and Delco/Delphi caps solving the problem for another 100K miles.

Re: Accel Corrected HEI Cap
I might have learned that the hard way. It started running rough and I wasn't sure if it was the ignition or my 650 DP. Runs even better now though with a new Summit carb, Digital-6 box, and MSD 8361 distributor.
Sucks I had to put the long spark plug wires back on though.
