Solve My Problem
Ok...here it is. When my t/a hits about 3500 rpms seems to miss. It wont miss though if i were top sit and rev the exhaust to the same rpm only seems to occur while driving. The cap rotor and 8.5 mm plug wires are new. The carb was just rebuilt and tuned. Currently running bosch platinum 2's. I was thinking possible the coil going bad.

Those plugs are junk. Switch to AC Delco platinum. It may be your coil. Could also be fuel related. What did your dist look like inside when you did the cap rotor. If there was rust and crud on the pole peice and timing core, that may also explain your misfire.

I'm working on a 91 Camaro RS with the 3.1 V6 engine. Car starts up and runs with good throttle response. However...once the engine is warmed up...any throttle causes it to stall out. The car has had a lot thrown at it already(many dollars...not mine). I have a simple Innova GM code reader available. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Hello pinky101, I see you're new but you would do better to start your own thread. Stepping in on another poster's thread is bad mojo and it really doesn't get you the attention you want. For now I'll say look at your coolant temp sensor, mass airflow sensor, and O2 sensor. To test MAF and O2, you can simply unplug each one at a time and see if the problem improves. The O2 is cheap and you can just replace it if it shows bad. The MAF you'll want to verify what is causing it to fail. Relay, wiring, or the sensor itself. The CTS can be tested for resistance. It should read 3400ohms at 70 degrees and 185ohms at 210.

MSD 6A recommended replacement

1989 Camaro with 92 Silverado 350. No AC. Trying to find a place to put my MSD somewhere away form my headers. Any suggestions, pics would help too. Supreme Member

As i told Pinky101. This thread was started by a member lookng for help with a misfire. Unless you're offering advice to the OP of this thread, you should start your own thread. It gets confusing when several members post on the same thread with different issues. Then again what do I know, maybe things have changed.
Having said that, I installed my MSD controller in the pocket behind the driver's headlights, where the charcoal canister used to be. Couldn't think of another place under the hood. I've seen them installed in the cockpit but the analog units tend to be noisy. With the digital boxes this wouldn't be an issue.

I agree Ac delco are good plugs,but why do you think the Bosch are junk?

Ive had repeated poor idle issues with Bosch Platinum +2 or +4 plugs. They are an inexpensive plug and you get what you pay for. The basic Bosch Platinum aren't so bad but even they have the electrode tip that you cant see to know how worn they are. Bosch Super Plus are a completely different story.
