My Car Keeps Dying?
I need help, my car is a 1990 Camaro with a 3.1 v6 Auto tranny, my problem is every time I drive it it drives fine, except when I am idling, every time I pull up to a stop light or a stop sign the car dies, so I have to put it in neutral and rev the engine to keep it alive. Does anybody have any clue what is going on? Troubleshooting tips?

it could be anything. Do you have any other symptoms that you notice? Does it pop or backfire ever? Does it ever bog?
Routine maintenance questions that you must be able to answer affirmative to as having been done within 6 months are listed below
air cleaner
fuel filter
plugs
wires
rotor
cap
check/adjust timing
keep tank at 1/2 or above does problem go away?

Re: My Car Keeps Dying?
My car is approx. 21 years old, and I think it has 20-20 1/2 years of neglect (I bought it about 1/2 a year ago). I am thinking it might be the injectors, I also plan on checking the spark plugs.

Re: My Car Keeps Dying?
I tested the fuel injector resistance (ohms) and here are the results:
12.8 12.6
12.3 12.5
7.1 11.0
I tested the injectors while the engine was cold and these are the results, is this normal? If not, what might be causing the problem and how do I fix it?

you've got one bad injector, possibly two. the one with 7 ohms is junk and the one with 11 is starting to go. you need to replace at least the 2, if you can swing it, replace them all while it is apart. there are a couple of injector vendors on here that have reasonable prices.

Re: My Car Keeps Dying?
That is what I thought, would a bad injector cause the car to sputter at random times while idling?

Is this a good place to buy injectors from? are there any other stores that have good prices?

I don't have any personal experience with them. I bought my injectors used before I knew about them. But, I have read on here that others have had good experiences with them. I believe they will give you a 10% discount for being a TGO member. And yes, a bad injector will cause idle issues.
