I don't know right off hand what your timing should be, some one will help you or what I have done in the past is call your local parts store.

Re: Timing Help Please

I have gotten the car running somewhat ok now, its timed at 10.5 degrees between the last two points. This is the best i can get it to run but there is still a missfire. I cannot figure out why but when i get into it round 3rd gear service engine light comes on and it gets terrible and wants to shut off. could it be a bad plug? or maybe the disributor is a tooth off? PLEASE GIVE ME IDEAS!!

It comes on for a REASON.
It means there are faults with the engine and you are SUPPOSED to read the computer codes so you can SEE what is wrong!

Re: Timing Help Please

It's the A and B terminal of the LADL connector. Top two on the right or left side- I can't remember which.

Re: Timing Help Please

OK so i figured out what the problem was all along, For those of you out there who need help here it is. The ECM wire on 90-92 cars is located on the passenger side under the hood next to the heater box...NOT on the back of the distributor which is the same color wire. The timing tab has a big open V followed by 3 little vs in it. the center of the big V is 0* and towards the passenger side is before top dead center counting int intervals of 2* Set it to 6* plug the ECM back in and problem solved. Thank you for all of the people that pointed out some things to look at!
