Re: carb to big?

A 750 isn't too big by any means. You might consider upgrading to a DP, but if you're more comfortable tuning Edelbrocks you can stick with one of those.

Re: carb to big?

With 210 heads, 750 will be fine. I would personally run a Holley style as well though.

Re: carb to big?

Carbs don't care about pressure as long as it's not too high.

Aftermarket support. When you want to start tuning or modifying the carb, a Holley style is the way to go. There's lots of carbs out there based on the Holley design. Edlebrock is based off the old Carter AFB and nobody else makes versions like that.

They both have their own advantages and disadvantages but the Holley style is more preferred. Even looking at a basic 750 carb. There's probably at least a dozen different list numbers for a Holley 750. Not all are the same and they all perform differently. At least you didn't suggest the Holley 3310. They need to stop making that old carb.

Not sure if the Barry Grant Demon carbs are still available. They had a lot of good design ideas that Holley should have done decades ago.
